COMPANY FEES:

We specialize in servicing out-of-state clients and corporations, such as Attorneys, Signing Companies, and Title Companies. Some of our clients include Equity Settlement Services of Smithtown, New York, Quality Title Agency, Inc. of Independence, Ohio, and TL&Gee Signing Services of Richmond, Virginia. Our typical services clients include: 

1. Receive documents to be notarized, carry them to the appointment.  
2. Call client to set up appointment and confirm appointment, early morning on day of signing. 
3. Make any necessary local or long distance calls that may be needed to complete the closing. 
4. Fax any paperwork necessary to complete signing. 
5. Contact appropriate personnel if any questions or problems arise while at signing. 
6. Carefully review all documents for appropriate dates and for any missed signatures or initials, and the witnessing of signatures. 
7. Return notarized document(s) via FedEx or preferred service.  


GENERAL PUBLIC FEES

Services for individuals typically include notarization of documents such as Charities, Real Estate Papers, Wills, Living Wills, Guardianships, Car titles, and Power of Attorney. These services can be performed at my location, or I can come to you if you prefer.

Notary Fees (set by the state):

◾ First signature, $5.00 
◾ Each additional signature, $5.00 

 
 Travel Fees:

◾ In the Hampton Roads area, during business hours, $35.00 to $50.00
◾ In the Hampton Roads area, weekends, evenings, and holidays, $35.00 to $60.00
◾ Call for prices for other areas


  We DO NOT notarize:  

Any documents from Vital Records (birth or death certificates, marriage or divorce decrees), documents from a court, documents from the State Corporation Commission or Federal government documents. Such documents require an ink signature and date by the Registrar or Deputy Registrar of Vital Records or an ink signature and date by the Clerk of the Court or a signature by the Clerk of the State Corporation Commission. Federal documents can be copied and notarized by a Virginia notary as a true copy of the original document (such as copies of a passport, or an Immigration search report).  


Identification required for notarization:

Virginia law requires that a signer be identified either by personal knowledge or one or more of the following documents:

◾ State-issued driver's license
◾ State-issued identification card 
◾ United States passport 
◾ Unexpired foreign passport
◾ Certificate of United States Citizenship
◾ Certificate of Naturalization
◾ Alien Registration Card with photograph 
◾ United States military card
